Heidi-Google-Chat2 v2

I recently was asked to “Hangout” (literally – more about that later), with my good buddies over at NYC Dads Group and their friend, Heidi Murkoff of the ever-popular What to Expect series. NYC Dads Group has an awesome relationship with Heidi and her team – and they invited me, along with other cool dads, to join in a Google+ Hangout.

The other dads included Matt Schneider and Lance Somerfeld of the NYC Dads group, as well as:

  • Dan Bucatinsky , author of the autobiographical book, Does This Baby Make Me Look Straight?, consulting producer for ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, and reporter turned stay-at-home dad, James, on ABC’s, Scandal.
  • Benjamin Floydmedia consultant, daddy blogger, parent panelist forTimeToPlayMag.com, and a regular on KRIV Fox 26 Houston.
  • Chris Routly  who is a blogger, and started the Huggies petition that ultimately led to Huggies revamping their campaign.
  • Don Unger , author of Men Can: The Changing Image and Reality of Fatherhood in America, writing professor at MIT, non-fiction writer, and contributor to The Boston Globe,The Philadelphia Inquirer, and The Village Voice.
  • Seth Taylorblogger and contributor to DadCentric.com and Huffington Post.  Seth is also an English Teacher and fiction writer.

And while I’m talking cool things between NYC Dads Group and What to Expect, check out this interesting info graphic – brought to you by their collaborative efforts. I don’t know about you, but after looking at this data, it’s no wonder dads are more stressed out today than yesteryear!
